Law Program

Bachelor of Law Program

The extent to which the labor market demands the Law major represents a practical means of linking the program’s outcomes with the needs of the job market. This connection helps in designing the curriculum in accordance with modern trends and contributes to achieving the mission and objectives of the program. Based on this, feedback from target groups and the community regarding the demand for the Law major reinforces its significance and confirms its alignment with the work environment.

To achieve this objective, a questionnaire was developed to assess the degree to which the program’s outcomes align with labor market needs in terms of required skills and competencies for Law graduates. The results are summarized as follows:

  • Employer Satisfaction with Graduate Skills:
    • The survey results indicate that the program’s outcomes align with the labor market’s needs in the required specialization, and that employers are generally satisfied with the graduates’ skills, with an average satisfaction rate of 80.4%.
  • Employer Satisfaction with Graduate Competencies:
    • The survey results demonstrate that the program’s outcomes correspond to the market’s needs, and employers expressed satisfaction with the graduates’ competencies, with an average satisfaction rate of 77.93%.

Data Analysis and Conclusions:

Targeted groups from various sectors (lawyers, judges, legal affairs departments, and university faculty members) responded to the questionnaire assessing the alignment between the program outcomes and the labor market’s required skills and competencies for Law graduates.

Accordingly, it can be concluded that the vast majority of respondents believe there is a strong alignment between the program’s outcomes and labor market needs in the legal field, in line with modern trends. There is a significant local market demand for this specialization, and it is expected to meet labor market needs. It is also considered one of the fields that will see increasing demand in the Saudi job market (both public and private sectors). In the public sector, Law graduates may be employed in:

  • Courts of General Jurisdiction
  • Administrative Courts
  • Public Prosecution
  • Legal departments of all state institutions and government agencies

In the private sector, Law graduates may work in:

  • Legal departments of companies and banks
  • Law firms and legal consultancy offices
  • Organizations and associations

The Law major is well-positioned to contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030, which primarily aims to provide qualified human capital—both academically and practically—within each specialization to serve and advance the Kingdom and Saudi society.
